The
President of the University of Jordan, Dr. Nadhir Obeidat, reviewed the
projects of the Faculty of Pharmacy students stemming from the Career Readiness
Program, during a visit dedicated to following up on the program’s outputs and
assessing the level of skills acquired by the students, especially the
practical and professional skills related to the requirements of the labor
market.
Obaidat
listened to explanations given by the students about their projects, which
covered various pharmaceutical sectors and came within multiple tracks aimed at
developing soft skills, leadership skills, and teamwork, in addition to
consolidating the concepts of leadership and innovation, through teamwork and
applied learning.
Obaidat
emphasized the university's pride in its distinguished students and in the
program's reflection of a genuine qualitative change that keeps pace with
technological development and focuses on project content that promotes the
concepts of leadership and innovation. He also pointed to the importance of
partnerships with supporting entities in developing the career readiness
program to meet the requirements of the pharmaceutical sector.
For
her part, the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Dr. Rula Darwish, confirmed that
the career readiness program has begun to bear fruit in a tangible way, noting
that the level of the submitted projects reflects the amount of effort made by
the students and faculty members, and embodies the college’s vision of
preparing graduates who possess integrated skills that combine academic
knowledge and practical competence.
Darwish
added that these projects represent the result of an integrated educational
experience that contributes to shaping the student's professional personality
and enhances his readiness to engage in the labor market efficiently and
confidently, stressing the college's continued development of the program to
keep pace with the requirements of the pharmaceutical sector at the local and
regional levels.
It
is noted that the projects are evaluated by an external specialized judging
panel from various sectors, in addition to the Innovation and Entrepreneurship
Center, according to criteria that included the skills acquired, the level of
cooperation within the team, and the quality of the presentation, the project's
content and attractiveness, as well as body language and effective
communication, were considered. The evaluation process was based on a
comprehensive discussion of each project, allowing for constructive feedback
that contributes to developing students' ideas and enhancing their learning.
