Prof Eman Abu-Gharbieh holds the position of Professor in the Department of Clinical Sciences at the College of Medicine, University of Sharjah. She also serves as the Assistant Dean of Graduate Studies and chairs the Committee on Program Evaluation, Educational Quality Assurance, and Accreditation. Prof Abu-Gharbieh earned her Doctorate in Pharmacology and Toxicology from the University of Bologna, Italy in 2004 and a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from the University of Jordan. As an active and dedicated researcher, she participates in numerous national and international societies and leads the Environment and Cancer Research Group at the Research Institute of Medical & Health Sciences (RIMHS) at the University of Sharjah. Prof Abu-Gharbieh has obtained numerous research grants, published over 130 articles in international peer-reviewed journals, and regularly presents her research at various national and international conferences.​
