OSCE for Pharmaceutical Training Course 2

Over the course of five days, the College of Pharmacy held the OSCE exam for students of training course 2. The exam included 3 stages, which were divided as follows:

The first stage included conducting an interview with the patient and reading a prescription containing one of the inhalers for asthma patients, as well as one of the medications used to stop smoking, where the student must provide complete advice regarding the use of these medications and their doses.

The second stage (the doctor stage), where the student is presented with 3 medical cases:

The first case: It is accompanied by a medical analysis, and the student must read this analysis and calculate the doses of medications given to the patient's condition.

The second case: It includes reading a doctor's prescription for dispensing medications given intravenously.

Third case: Calculating doses of antibiotics for children

The third station: using reliable medical sources.
