MSc. in Pharmaceutical Sciences / Project and Research

The course involves a thesis track of 9 credit hours
The student can register for thesis after finishing at least 9 credit hours during the second semesters and before the fourth semester at the program.
The thesis work is equivalent three-six semesters
The thesis project can be a research conducted by the student under supervision of a member(s) of the faculty within the context of the main three disciplines of basic pharmaceutical sciences of:
·         Drug discovery and development
·         Pharmaceutics and drug development
·         Principles of pharmacology and clinical development.
The supervisor can be a holder of Assistant Professor rank or above. Assistant professor has to show ability to carry out independent research and has published at least two researches in accredited scientific journals in the last three years
Each student has to submit a thesis as partial fulfillment of the requirements of the MSc degree in pharmaceutical sciences. The written thesis has to comply with the University regulations of submitting MSc thesis (http://languages.ju.edu.jo/ar/Arabic/FacultyForms/A9.pdf).
Upon submission the student has to pass a thesis viva to be carried out by Dissertation discussion committee consists of the student’s supervisor(s), an external examiner and two internal examiners.
