Dr. Anas M. Abdel Rahman is a Clinical Metabolomics Scientist at the Center for Genome Medicine, King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre (KFSHRC) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He also serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine at Alfaisal University.
Dr. Abdel Rahman completed his Ph.D. in Bioanalytical Chemistry with a focus on proteomics at Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada. From 2011 to 2014, he conducted postdoctoral research at the Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute at Mount Sinai Hospital and the University of Toronto, investigating the molecular mechanisms that control glycosylation on cell surface receptors in cancer cells using metabolomics and glycomics strategies.
In 2014, he joined KFSHRC as an Associate Scientist and Alfaisal University as an Assistant Professor. His research interests include signaling pathways controlling metabolic reprogramming in cancer and metabolomic biomarker discovery in inborn errors of metabolism.
Dr. Abdel Rahman has authored numerous publications in the fields of proteomics and metabolomics. His work has contributed to advancements in understanding metabolic alterations in various diseases and the development of diagnostic tools.
