Under the patronage of the University of Jordan (UJ)
President, Prof. Abdul Karim Al-Qudah, Jordan Pharmaceutical Students’
Association (JPSA) members in cooperation with the School of Pharmacy on Sunday
held a march at the University for World Cancer Day.
Al-Qudah commended the event and its aim to promote
cancer awareness, indicating that adopting a healthy lifestyle that includes
sports is an important step towards preventing cancer diseases.
Dean of the School, Dr. Rana Abu Al-Dhahab, indicated
that the march came in support of the national cancer awareness campaign
entitled "Still Up to the Challenge” of the King Hussein Cancer Center on
the occasion of World Cancer Day 2021, which takes place annually on February
4.
Head of the JPSA team, student Ghazal Muheisen, said
that the march started in front of the main library building and ended at the
Stadium. Brochures on cancer types and best practices for patients care, and
success stories of cancer survivors were also distributed during the event.
JPSA was established in May 2007, and it is an
association for pharmacy students in Jordan, and it is affiliated with the
International Pharmacy Student Federation (IPSF).
